Boards & Commissions

Boards, Commissions, and Committees are essential in assisting the City Council with fulfilling its obligations to the residents of Hutchins.   The various Boards and Commissions act as an advisory board to the City Council and in some instances, they are the final body for action.

The City of Hutchins’ Boards and Commissions are comprised of concerned citizens who volunteer their time, knowledge, and expertise to make a difference in their community.

Board and commission appointments are made on an annual basis in July of each year (terms expire July 31) and during the year as vacancies occur. The annual application period for Boards and Commission positions with expiring terms and known vacancies begin in May each year and appointments will be made on the second Council meeting in July. The City Secretary’s Office coordinates the annual board and commission appointments.
