Trash Collection

Republic Services provides residential and commercial sanitation collection for the City of Hutchins.  The city does not provide recycling services.

Trash Collection

Republic Services provides residential and commercial sanitation collection for the City of Hutchins. Residential sanitation (trash) and bulk (large items, tree limbs, etc.) is collected each Tuesday and Friday morning. A trash can is provided to residents by Republic Services. To request a trash can or to set up new service call City Hall at 972-225-6121.

Effective 10/1/2020, Commercial customers directly billed by Republic Services will see a 2.9% increase in fees. This is only for Commercial Accounts.

To ensure your water bill payment gets credited to your account, you must use the official City of Hutchins payment portal.

Using 3rd party “online bill pay” services will cause your water payment to be delayed, thereby resulting in late fees and possible water

Pay Your Utility Bill Online

New email for water customers. To contact us via email regarding your water bill, starting new service, disconnecting service or questions about your bill please contact us at utilitybilling@cityofhutchins.org

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repair of water main and services
• Maintenance and repair of isolation valves
• Maintenance, Repair and Operation of all meters and provides Utility Billing with information for monthly billing.
• Maintenance and repair of all fire hydrants
• Maintenance and repair all sewer mains and services.
• Maintenance and repair on all lift stations.

Credit/debit card payments over the phone and on the web incur a 2.5% processing fee. This fee is charged by the credit card processing company and the City does not keep this fee.

You can make a credit/debit card payment in person at City Hall and no fee will be assessed.

Disclosure of Personal Information

HB 872 Utility Customers - Disclosure of Personal Information

The Texas Legislature recently passed HB872 regarding all government operated utility customer account information.  Pursuant to Section 182.052 of the Texas Utilities Code, except as provided by Section 182.054, the City of Hutchins may not disclose personal information in a customer's account record, or any information relating to the volume or units of utility usage, or the amounts billed to or collected from the individual for utility usage unless the customer requests that the City of Hutchins disclose the information.  Customers have the option to opt out of having their account kept confidential and can do so by completing the Request for Disclosure of Information form located below and returning it to the Utility Billing Department.
