Library Services
- Book and DVD checkout with an Atwell Public Library card or TexShare card.
- Computers are available to the public with or without a library card.
- Public Wi-Fi for laptops, phones, and tablets.
- Faxes $1.00 local per page, $2.00 long distance per page.
- Prints and copies are $ .10 per page.
- We scan documents to PDF – sent to a personal email or USB, $.10 per page
Current Requirements:
- Sanitize your hands when entering.
- Maintain 6ft distance from others.
Safety Precautions:
- Computers are sanitized between patron sessions.
- No public water fountain.

TexShare Cards
The TexShare Card is a statewide library card that lets you borrow books and other physical materials from more than 500 libraries across the state.
All Atwell Public Library Patrons in good standing may sign up or renew their TexShare Cards. All books and materials must be returned to the original library of checkout. Please return all materials by the due date or pay late fees to stay current and in good standing with your TexShare card.
TexShare Databases
TexShare Databases allow you to access over 27,000 journals, over 171,000 eBooks, and over 15 million images, videos, and interactive resources. These are e-resources licensed for the exclusive use of Texas libraries and their patron. Start with TexShare for homework help, health or business information, academic journals, popular magazines, genealogy, or job and career development.

If you or any members of your household are newly retired, work part-time, or are seeking new friends, the Hutchins Senior Center is the place for you! The Senior Center facility offers an opportunity for adults 60 years of age and older to develop an extended family through a wide range of health and educational programs, human services, recreational/social activities, and special events throughout the year.

CONGREGATE MEAL PROGRAM
DALLAS COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY
In response to COVID-19, the Congregate Meal Program and Community Center Rentals are currently suspended at the Hutchins Senior Center/Community Center.
We are currently offering home delivered meals to enrolled participants of the Hutchins Senior Center that are residents of Hutchins. Meals will be delivered between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Enrolled seniors may pick up their meals from the center between 11:30 a.m. and Noon. To inquire about enrollment, please contact the Hutchins Senior Center at 972-225-0439, between the hours of 9am and 2pm.
The Congregate Meal Program, also known as the Senior Meal Program, is a daily lunch program that ensures a free and nutritious meal for seniors ages 60 and older. The program is sponsored in part by the City of Hutchins and Dallas Area Agency on Aging. Lunch is served Monday - Friday beginning at 11:30 am while food supply lasts or until all eligible participants have received a qualified meal. Lunch is served in the Hutchins Senior Center, and usually concludes by 12:00 noon, 48-hour RSVP (reservation) is strongly encouraged.
To join the program, the applicant must complete an intake form, nutritional education, and nutritional assessment before participation. Participants must also participate in an annual nutrition education session/presentation to remain in the program. There is no cost for this nutrition education session/presentation.
