Atwell Public Library is open to public with regular hours 9AM-6PM, Mon-Fri.
Services Offered:
- Limited computers available for 1 Hour per day.
- Limited space for personal laptop available 1 Hour per day.
- Faxes $1.00 local per page, $2.00 long distance per page.
- Prints and copies are $ .10 per page.
- Books & DVDs will be retrieved by librarian at this time. Please browse online catalog for items that are currently available.
Current Requirements:
- Masks are required at all times while in the library.
- Sanitize your hands when entering.
- Maintain 6ft distance from others.
Safety Precautions:
- Computers are sanitized between patron sessions.
- No public restrooms or water fountain.
- Donations are not being accepted.
- Browsing shelves & use of library tables is restricted.
As of 3/25/2020, the TexShare Card Program has been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19. Libraries are not issuing or renewing TexShare Cards.
TexShare Databases
TexShare Databases allow you to access over 27,000 journals, over 171,000 eBooks, and over 15 million images, videos, and interactive resources. These are e-resources licensed for the exclusive use of Texas libraries and their patron. Start with TexShare for homework help, health or business information, academic journals, popular magazines, genealogy, or job and career development.

If you or any members of your household are newly retired, work part-time, or are seeking new friends, the Hutchins Senior Center is the place for you! The Senior Center facility offers an opportunity for adults 60 years of age and older to develop an extended family through a wide range of health and educational programs, human services, recreational/social activities, and special events throughout the year.

CONGREGATE MEAL PROGRAM
DALLAS COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY
The Congregate Meal Program, also known as the Senior Meal Program, is a daily lunch program that ensures a free and nutritious meal for seniors ages 60 and older. The program is sponsored in part by the City of Hutchins and Dallas Area Agency on Aging. Lunch is served Monday - Friday beginning at 11:30 am while food supply lasts or until all eligible participants have received a qualified meal. Lunch is served in the Hutchins Senior Center, and usually concludes by 12:00 noon, 48-hour RSVP (reservation) is strongly encouraged.
To join the program, the applicant must complete an intake form, nutritional education, and nutritional assessment before participation. Participants must also participate in an annual nutrition education session/presentation to remain in the program. There is no cost for this nutrition education session/presentation.
