The City of Hutchins Zoning Board of Adjustments is composed of members who are resident citizens, taxpayers and qualified voters of the City of Hutchins.
This board has the authority to make special exceptions to the terms of the City of Hutchins Zoning Ordinance that are consistent with the general purpose and intent of the Ordinance.
Meetings of the Zoning Board of Adjustments are held at the call of the Chairperson and at such other times as the Board may determine.
The purpose of the Hutchins Atwell Library Board is to provide free, efficient library service to all children, youth and adults for their personal growth and cultural enrichment.
It is the desire of the City of Hutchins to have and maintain within the City limits a public library; free to all citizens in the City, with the privilege of taking materials from the library under the rules and regulations adopted by the Library Board and approved by the Council.
The Hutchins Atwell Public Library meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Library.
The City of Hutchins Planning & Zoning Commission is composed of resident citizens, taxpayer and qualified voters of the City of Hutchins who are appointed by the Mayor and Councilmembers.
The Planning & Zoning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council. It makes recommendations regarding amendments to the Comprehensive Plan.
The Commission also serves in an advisory capacity on any planning related item(s) in the City.
The Commission meets as needed on Thursdays at City Hall at 7:00 p.m. at the call of the chairperson.
